North Carolina Kodiaks Rugby Football Club

The Kodiaks is a social, inclusive rugby club. If you've ever thought about trying rugby, just give it a go. Rugby is a great game for all body types and fitness levels. Newcomers are welcome to all practices.

Our next fundraiser will be at Flex in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, February 20, starting at 10:30 pm. (Feel free to show up there and give us money. Travel and games arrangments aren't cheap! And Kodiaks Rugby Football Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, so your contributions are tax-deductible.)

Kodiaks 2010

EVENT Flex night in downtown Raleigh: Sat, 2/20, at 10:30 pm. We'll be hanging out and speaking with folks, recruiting new players, and may be fundraising. (It's Flex's Mardi Gras underwear night.)

EVENT The Charlotte Royals have rescheduled their rugby 101 for the next day, Sun, 2/21, at 2 pm (with the third half at 6 pm). We may try that Charlotte roadtrip again -- if folks are interested in going, let us know. Contact T. Shawn Long for more information.

EVENT Rescheduled interest meeting: Sun, 2/28, from 2:30-4:30 at Fletcher Park in Raleigh. It's our first official get-together for the team. It won't be a full practice, but we will throw the ball around and cover rugby basics. Dress for play according to the weather.

Welcome to Kodiaks 3.0, the next iteration - we're building the team for 2010! We'll have an interest meeting on Sunday, Feb 7, from 2:30 to 4:30 at Fletcher Park. Come dressed for the weather. This will not be a regular practice, but we will throw the ball around and introduce you to the game of rugby. Regular weekend practices will be at Fletcher Park on Sundays from 2:30-4:30, official start date TBA.
We also practice - and often team up for both their games and ours - with the Eno River Rugby Club. Check out their website for practice and game schedules.
